An actor, model and social media influencer, Pankhuri Gidwani, who hails from Lucknow, was crowned the second runner-up of FBB Femina Miss India in 2016. The event was attended by several Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan among others. The social media star enjoys a massive fan follwing on Instagram and has collaborated with several brands professionally.
A student of La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow, Pankhuri Gidwani always aspired to be an actress. She was seen in the Sunny Singh-Maanvi Gagroo starrer ‘Ujda Chaman’ in 2019.
A trained Kathak dancer, Pankhuri did many shows including Indradhanush at Rashtrapati Bhavan, when Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam was the president.
Pankhuri has been modelling since the age of 16 for noted fashion designers like Ritu Kumar, Asma Hussain and Royal Zaid in Lucknow.
A fashion enthusiast, Pankhuri skipped her board exams in 2016 to participate in the FBB Miss India contest. She, however, resumed her studies after a gap of one year. Pankhuri has been part of several television commercials and walked the ramp for several fashion designers.
In an interview she said- I had missed my board examinations for participating in Miss India (at 18) and after winning Miss India second Runners up, I had to train for Miss Grand International and received 25th position out of 80 countries. It was tough to adjust to studies again after a year of glamour. I put my all into it, and this is the result I came forth with.
She further added, So all the people out there who think that something they want is impossible to accomplish, whether it is academics, your dreams or the love you want, you can achieve it all, just have the grit, determination and a true heart to pursue it.
